US Army M5 3" anti-tank gun

Webstore Exclusive! This artillery piece is supplied with a laser-cut oval MDF base (120mm x 92mm) - only available through this webstore.

The M5 represented a major improvement on previous anti-tank guns, able to penetrate all German armour when it was introduced in late 1943 and serving in Italy and Northwest Europe. Despite its hitting power, it was unpopular due to its size and weight, and US doctrine favoured mobile tank destroyers, including the M10 which mounted the same 3-inch gun, and which had replaced the M5 by the end of the war.

In games of Bolt Action the M5 can be included in Artillery Platoons and is a Heavy Anti-tank gun, that can be towed by a range of vehicles, including half-tracks.

Contents:

  • One metal 3-inch gun
  • 4 metal US Army crew

Models supplied unassembled and unpainted
